How much does it cost?
Well, it depends if you want to live in Strasbourg’s center, if you decide to do the SSP (which I recommend), how much tourism you want to do during SSP/Master, if you are coming alone or not, etc.
But here are some rough numbers for a single person (for the year):
– MSM (includes tuition and fees) + SSP (includes tuition, fees, lodge, transport and food): 33 500 EUR
– Air ticket: 800 EUR
– Apartment of 35 sq.m. in-between Strasbourg Center & ISU for 7 months (including charges): 4 200 EUR
– Food*: 700 EUR
– Trip to Russia (a must, do not miss it): 1 000 EUR
– Tourism (during SSP & MSM): 3 000 EUR
– Transport (in Strasbourg): 308 EUR
– Other expenses (laptop, clothes, medicines, etc.): 3 000 EUR
– Total: 46 508 EUR
As you can see, it is not cheap. And if you decide to spend more in Others, you can easily reach 50 000 EUR.
However, the number can be reduced depending on the scholarship provided by ISU, the scholarships that you have earned, if your employer pays a part, or if you manage to obtain a paid internship.
If you don’t want to find yourself with cash-flow problems, I strongly recommend to make a good budget before making the trip.
Now you may understand why it took me so long to come here.
* If you live in South America you can calculate this budget by multiplying by 3 your food budget in your country. In the US & Canada, I think that you can use 1.4 (all calculations must be done in euros).
Senor Cuba, you are crazy setting up this website. Good thing you got the transport right. What would people do without knowing about those 8 euro… I’m sure professor Farrow, Zervos and Peeters would be really happy with that particular estimate…
Scaring all nrw students with bit numbers. You can easily survive on water and bread, and live in a carboard box.
Miss you my friend, and hope you are having a good time in Luxembourg and will have an amawing time in my hometown next year.
Hahaha, actually, the figure was 307.45 euro! Hahaha. Miss you too man, I hope you can make it to the alumni meeting in Strasbourg. It would be great to see as many of the class there. Take care!
